In a perfect world I could enjoy the cold crisp snow in the day time and a breezy warmth once the sun goes down.
I’m a winter baby by all means. I like the cold, I like the snow, I HATE to sweat. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an island girl. I can handle the tropical heat. But New York heat is different. It tires me. I just want to stay inside all day until the evening approaches.
Even my birthday is in January. Granted, I was not born in New York. But I like to think fate worked it out that way.
What I do love about summer is the evening breeze. There’s nothing more comforting after a LONG tiring day than sitting on my deck, with a frozen margarita, watching the night sky and listening to the planes take off. I am obsessed with the moon, the stars, the planets. I think I was an astronaut in my former life or will be one if I ever come back. I’m also obsessed with airplanes. I can watch them all day. Lucky for me I live right behind New York’s major airport. Depending on the day and the angle, I can get clear views of aircrafts as they land or take off. It’s comforting to me.
Tonight is the first night that I’m indulging in my little obsessions. I’ve got a mango & passionfruit frozen margarita, a cinnamon muffin, cool breeze, the moon in the backdrop, and the sounds of the airport. I’m finally relaxed. Have a great night everyone. I know I am.
